Trump Was Asked Why Mayorkas Hasn’t Been Arrested for Border Invasion, So He Tells The DOJ to Start Looking Into It

An investigation of Mayorkas and whether he meets the threshold of prosecution would be a welcome development for critics who have accused Biden's DHS chief of allowing a deliberate invasion of the country through disastrous open-door border policies.

The reporter, asking questions during Trump's trip to Alligator Alcatraz in Florida, wondered, "Why hasn't he (Mayorkas) been arrested yet?"

It's the whole reason the state of Florida had to build this swamp version of Alcatraz in the first place - to clean up the criminal mess left behind by Mayorkas.

The President, upon being reminded that the former DHS secretary was not privy to Biden's autopen pardons for family members and political allies, seemed open to the idea that an investigation, at the very least, should be launched.

After discussing the pardons, Trump took a more definitive stance on the matter.

"Well, I'd take a look at that one because what he did is beyond incompetent," the President responded, though he offered a disclaimer of sorts. "With that being said, he took orders from other people."

"It must have been very hard for him to stand up and sit up and talk about what he allowed to happen to this country and be serious about it."

All well and good, but somebody needs to be held accountable for the near-destruction of the United States under President Biden. If we continue to say that high-ranking officials were merely taking orders, that Biden simply didn't know what he was doing, and that everything was under the control of unnamed entities armed with an autopen, then nobody will ever pay a price for their reprehensible actions.

"If he wasn't given a pardon, I could see looking into that," Trump said, turning to Noem. "In fact, why don't you look into that,

Noem pointed out off-mic that Mayorkas was impeached. 

Mayorkas, in February of 2024, became the first Cabinet secretary to be impeached in 150 years due to his utter incompetence in protecting the American people from murderers and rapists invading the southern border.

He was also accused of "breach of public trust" for allegedly making false statements to Congress, with claims under oath that the border was secure and under operational control.

President Trump countered that the impeachment of Mayorkas was more symbolic and reiterated that the DHS should look further into holding him accountable.

An investigation would be a welcome move, sure, but conclusive action would be infinitely better. Arrests? Prosecutions? If Mayorkas was following orders, let's determine who was giving them and hold them accountable at the very least.
